On November 1, 2018, the standard for radiographic control GOST ISO 17636-2-2017 was adopted.

On November 1, 2018, the ISO-17636-2-2017 standard for radiographic testing was adopted.

GOST ISO 17636-2-2017. Non-destructive testing of welded joints. Radiographic control. Part 2. Methods of X-ray and gamma-graphic control using digital detectors.

The standard establishes the basic methods of radiographic inspection in order to create the conditions for the cost-effective production of reliable and reproducible results. Control methods are based on generally accepted practices and fundamental theory. The standard is applicable for digital radiographic inspection of fusion welded joints of metallic materials, namely for inspection of welded joints in sheet metal and pipes. Pipe in this standard means any cylindrical hollow body such as boiler shells, pressure vessels, pressure pipes, etc.

The standard is an identical version of the international standard:

ISO 17636-2: 2013. Non-destructive testing of welds — Radiographic testing — Part 2: X- and gamma-ray techniques with digital detectors
