09 December 2015 a meeting of the Technical Council of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC on materials science and metal control of equipment and pipelines was held at the Branch of the UOC RT (KO Bekasovo) of PJSC Rostelecom (Moscow Region, Naro-Fominsk, village d / o Bekasovo) NPP, where the department of «RadioTech» of JSC «Astyag» made a report «Modern methods of measuring residual stresses in the elements of equipment and pipelines of nuclear power plants» and presented a portable installation for measuring mechanical stresses in polycrystals by the method of X-ray diffraction «NERKA-1».

Tests of the BARS system on the basis of the laboratory for the quality of welded joints

August 22, 2017 at prom. The Smolenskoye site, Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar, a branch of the Yablonovskoye Department of Emergency Recovery Operations, tested the BARS system with panoramic and frontal methods of scanning welded seams in pipelines.
During the tests, the following positive aspects of using the BARS system were noted:
Possibility of using the radioactive isotope Se-75;
Prompt setting of exposure modes;
The ability to control the quality of the resulting image on the monitor screen in real time;
Possibility of radiographic inspection of «hot» joints, including layer-by-layer inspection.
